Having a design process for building a website is beneficial because it helps to ensure that the end product meets the needs of the client and the users.

Additionally, a design process allows for iterative improvements to be made throughout the project, ensuring that the final product is of the highest quality.

Our website design approach involves 8 phases in turning an idea into a finished product.

Identify Project Goals

DISCOVERY AND STRATEGY

OBJECTIVE: Define a site strategy. Clarify, define, and prioritize what goals the new website needs to fulfill. Determine the importance and relevance of each goal. Identify the target user group and assess the website’s value to them. Map out the user experience and determine what metrics will measure the website’s success.

Estimate the amount of time and work involved.

SCALE OF THE PROJECT

OBJECTIVE: To accurately estimate the scope of a website design project, various factors must be taken into account, such as the overall size and complexity of the website. It is also beneficial to acquire any existing content, wireframes, sitemaps, or design mockups to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project’s scope.

This involves building a staging website for testing purposes and ensuring that all website elements are functional. The website should be user-friendly and meet technical requirements.

Testing
